Alice’s career pathway extends from a practicing allied health practitioner in the field of ophthalmology working in private practice, to a department leader in a major public hospital in an adjunct Level B Lecturing position at La Trobe University. Following the attainment of her PhD in the Schools of Health Sciences and Psychology in 2005, she has pursued a career in the field of social research as a principal researcher and was the successful recipient and project lead of two consecutive social research grants amounting to approximately $1.8M. This research focused on models of care to support older people living with a cognitive impairment while experiencing homelessness (The Wicking Projects). Since then, Alice has worked as research fellow in the Centre of Evidence Based Aged Care at La Trobe University and more recently as a Lecturer in Dementia at the University of Tasmania.
